Vive La Alamo!

For those of you who have not yet heard, John got his assignment and we are moving to San Antonio. John is still very upset to leave Alaska. I'll be sad to go too, but it will definitely be nice to be closer to family. We don't have to be there until the end of September so we'll get to spend one last summer here (and avoid the hot San Antonio summer).

Well, I'm sad that you guys are sad, but I'm not sad enough to not be really, really excited! You'll be in Texas . . . the same state I live in . . . four hours away! Not only that, but we go to San Antonio at least once a year! (Remember that time our family vehicles passed each other on the journey back to A-town?) I can finally see that cute Baby Rayna! (And you too!)

Maybe you could promise to dress a deer up like a bear and let John hunt for it in the Hill Country and he'd feel better about moving. And maybe you'll feel better about the heat if you think about how you'll get to buy Rayna lots of sweet warm weather clothes, that is if Nana & Padrone haven't bought out the stores by the time you get here. I know your mom is crazy with excitement!

(Sorry, I deleted my comment before. I just wanted to fix a word I misspelled and now I look silly.)

Yeah! I am excited that you guys will be so much closer than Alaska. Can't wait to get to see you guys and meet baby Rayna this summer.

There's only one person happier than I am: Grandma! Rayna better watch out, 'cause Grandma is an expert at spoiling her grandchildren (and great-grandchildren). I'm thinking that next spring you and Rayna can meet me in Fredericksburg for a ladies day out. German food and antiques!

I wish that we could see you guys before we leave. We will be in Oklahoma in June. Then to Okinawa! If you need any ideas in San Antonio and the good places to live( if not on base) Jasons family lives there. Plus you get to take Miss. Rayna to Sea World! And it is free for military! Lots of fun things to do! Miss you guys!
