April Showers....

I thought all of you "outside" (aka the lower 48) would be interested to see this. I took this picture this afternoon. It's been snowing hard all day and so far we have 1 1/2 feet. I was a little surprised but not disappointed. I know I won't get to enjoy (yes, I said "enjoy") snow for a couple of years. That's spring in Alaska for you.

Rayna has started pulling up--- on everything. She will pull herself up on anything she can get to. I came around the corner this morning and this is what I found. I definitely think she'll be walking before her first birthday.

Now that Rayna is moving around she thinks she can help herself to Riley's toys. Riley is really good with her, he never snaps at her, but he thinks it's ok for them to share. Here they are both enjoying a bone.

I just had to put this one on because you can really see how beautiful and blue her eyes are (I guess I'm becoming one of those moms).

Mmmm...

Rayna wants to try things other than baby food now but she's limited by the fact that she only has one tooth. This morning I let her share some of the blueberry pancakes I made which she loved (top picture).
She also really loves crackers but I think it has more to do with the fact that she gets to hold them herself.

She's getting better (and faster) at crawling. Sometimes she sneaks up behind Riley and surprises him which is pretty funny. She's also started pulling up and she figured out how to open drawers.
